Mission Statement

We strive to be a warm and inviting congregation with our user-friendly services. Building a community of with kindness, Yiddishkeit and friendship.

We are one of the oldest congregations in the county. Agudas Achim was established around 1864 by Jewish immigrants from the city of Amdur in Belorus. A traditional Ashkenaz, orthodox congregation, it was originally located in the Roundout area of Kingston and moved to it's present location in 1970. In 2001, a partnership was formed with Chabad Lubavitch, under the leadership of Rabbi Y. Yitzhak Hecht.
